Naas charity shop shuts down

The notice in the shop window

One of the charity shops in Naas town centre has shut down - after almost three years.

The Beloved shop, located beside the Vodafone store at North Main Street (beside the ex-Superquinn site) has closed. It was operated by Focus Ireland, which provides services for homeless people.

A notice placed in the window thanked customers, retail staff and volunteers for all their efforts to support the enterprise.

However the decision was made to close the shop effective from yesterday “with a great sadness.”

The charity has two other shops, one in Cork and one in north Dublin.

The Naas unit opened on December 1, 2015 selling women’s and children’s clothing as well as a range of accessories, gifts, and homewares, donated by designers, retailers and private donors to raise money for Focus Ireland services.
