More than 500 premises in Kildare and West Wicklow have no power

Naas has been worst hit by power blackouts

More than 500 homes and businesses are still without power across County Kildare and West Wicklow in the wake of Storm Callum, which brought high winds and rain to the overnight.

The worst affected area is Naas where 492 premises remain without power. However many other customers left without power during the night have had their supply restored.

According to ESB Networks customers in Naas have been without power since 7 am and supply is expected be restored by 5 pm.

In Newbridge 115 customer have no electricity but this will be restored by 1pm.

Elsewhere 28 customers have no power in Kilcullen and again this should be restored by 1pm. In Blessington 33 are without supply with a restoration time of 5pm.
