Kildare IFA chief Brian Rushe
The Irish Farmers’ Association will host an open farmer meeting on Monday, October 15, at 8pm in Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge.
The meeting, which will be chaired by Brian Rushe, Kildare IFA Chairman, is part of a series being held across the Country over the next four weeks. In partnership with FBD and AIB, the meetings will have farm finance as a key theme, with a focus on managing finances, Budget 2019 and fodder.
Speakers on Monday night will include Tom Doyle, IFA Farm Business Committee; Brian Scully of FBD; Pat Butterly of AIB and Billy Holland of IFAC.
IFA President Joe Healy has encouraged all farmers to attend and hear advice on how to prepare for the winter ahead. He said that “it has been a tough year for farmers and that it is critical that they plan for the coming cold season. These events will allow farmers on the ground to give their opinion on the current issues facing them and policies they want IFA to pursue.”
