It will dry up after a damp start in Co. Kildare

It's wet now but the weather will improve

This morning will be cloudy and damp over Lenister and Munster with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle, but it will be brighter and drier elsewhere with just an isolated shower. The rain in the east and south will clear southeastwards later this morning but may linger near southeastern coasts, says Met Eireann. North to northwest breezes will be mostly light or moderate in strength but fresh at times along the southeast coast. Top temperatures reaching just 9 to 11 degrees celsius.

Tonight will be mostly dry with clear spells, however a few patches of rain or drizzle may occur in the southeast with an isolated shower in the west and north. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 6 degrees leading to some grass frost, especially in the north and northwest. a few isolated patches of mist may form inland overnight. Winds will be light to moderate north to northwest in direction but fresh along south and southeast coasts.
