One of the first projects of the recently formed Land Development Agency will be to develop new housing in Naas.

That’s according to Fine Gael senator and former TD Anthony Lawlor.

He says land at the former Devoy Barracks, adjacent to Aras Chill Dara, will be used.

“The LDA will develop these lands into a mix of 150 plus social affordable and private dwellings for Naas.

Sen. Lawlor added: “This type of delivery of homes through the LDA represents a change in Government involvement in the housing market which will see an investment of €1.25bn in building 150,000 homes over the next 20 years. This investment in Naas shows we are a priority for this Government.” The LDA will develop both state and private land.
