There are fewer patients being treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today than yesterday.

Some 19 patients have been admitted to the hospital through the accident and emergency department there today - which is nine less than yesterday's figure.

There are 13 patients on trolleys at Portlaoise Hospital today and 34 at Tullamore, where overcrowding is a persistent problem.
