More money is needed to repair rural roads in the Naas area.

Naas councillor Seamie Moore said that if Kildare County Council doesn't have the funding it should seek resources from central government.

He said some other counties had received money to repair rural roads that have deteriorated as a result of the recent extreme weather conditons.

He stated that the areas worst affected near Naas  included Killashee, Brannockstown, Mullacash, Swordlestown, Ballymore and Kilteel.
