A Naas man caught drink driving twice in the space of five months has been disqualified from driving for eight years.
Krzystof Chechlowski with an address listed 9 Dun Na Riogh Glen, Naas was first stopped at 3:08am on August 13 2017 at Newhall, Naas.
He was arrested for driving over the legal limit. He also had no insurance.
On December 20 2017, Mr. Chechlowski was stopped again at Monread Avenue Naas at 9:50pm. He was charged with drink driving.
The court heard that Mr. Chechlowski was apologetic to both gardaí.
Representing solicitor Conal Boyce said Mr. Chechlowski has ceased driving at the moment.
He said at the time when he had no insurance, Mr. Chechlowski wasn’t insured because he was driving a company vehicle at the weekend.
Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed a €350 fine and two year disqualification for the first offence at Newhall, Naas. No insurance was taken into account.
For the offence on December 20, Judge Zaidan fined Mr. Chechlowski €500 and disqualified him for six years.
