Overcrowding crisis at Naas Hospital

Overcrowding remains a serous problem at Naas Hospital.

Today there are 31 patients on trolleys there - the same as yesterday. The most seriously overcrowded hospital in the eastern region, which includes all the major Dublin hospitals, is Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where 25 patients are on trolleys.

There are a dozen patients on trolleys at Portlaoise Hospital today - one more than at Tullamore Hospital. The most overcrowded hospital in the State is Limerick Hospital where 59 patients are currently without a bed.
