Is there more snow on the way? For St Patrick’s Day?
One long range forecast is predicting there could be a return of some very cold weather this weekend and there could be more snow on the way.
TV3's weatherman Deric Ó hArtagáin shared a long range forecast on Twitter suggesting it will be cold for St Patrick's Day.
The forecast models are not confirming anything.
Met Eireann has no specific weather forecast for next weekend but they also say signs are for colder weather next weekend.
Its prediction for this Friday is “another bright day with sunny spells and scattered showers mainly affecting the east and south in the moderate to fresh southeast to east winds.”
It said Friday night will be mostly dry with some clear spells but scattered showers in the east and south. “Turning colder at night as well with the risk of some frost despite the moderate to fresh easterly winds.”
Med Eireann said: “The weather for the weekend is still rather uncertain with low pressure remaining to the west of Ireland and a high pressure system building over Scandinavia, but current indications suggest that Saturday, St Patrick's Day will be a windy day with easterly winds increasing fresh or strong and turning colder with scattered showers.”
