Naas General Hospital
Overcrowding remains a problem at Naas Hospital, where 29 patients have been admitted today through the accident and emergency department without a bed being immediately available.
This is eight more than the figure released on Friday by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation –but less than the figure of 37 for Thursday and Wednesday of last week.
Patients were asked to consider visiting a GP before going to the hospital last week.
Elsewhere, there are 16 patients at Portlaoise Hospital and 34 at Tullamore Hospital.
