Severe overcrowding at Naas Hospital

There is severe overcrowding at Naas Hospital today with 37 patients being admitted on trolleys, says he Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation..

This is the highest figure at hospitals in the eastern region - with the exception of Tallaght Hospital, which has 39 people on trolleys.

Overcrowding is also a problem at Tullamore Hospital with 41 people admitted without a bed being immediately available. At Portlaoise Hospital there are seven patients on trolleys.
