Naas Musical Society has been forced to abandon a second performance of Curtains at the Moat Theatre in the town.

The opening show on Saturday was called off because of the weather and now the second instalment, due to be staged tomorrow evening (Sunday) at 6.30 won’t go ahead either - for the same reason.

Because of fears that four people centrally involved with the production cannot make it to Naas tomorrow, the decision was unavoidable.

“It will definitely go ahead on Monday as arranged. It has to because it has cost us a lot of money,” NMS member Tina O’Kelly told the Leader this afternoon.

Monday’s performance of the murder, mystery, whodunnit, comedy musical has been sold out.

The rescheduled programme runs from March 5 to March 9 at 8.30pm and the Moat Theatre can be contacted on  883030
