Naas Musical Society’s presentation of Curtains will go ahead almost as scheduled - despite the weather.
“The show goes on. It has to not least because we have bills to pay,” Tina O’Kelly of NMS told the Leader.
“Obviously the weather is bad so we have had to cancel the opening night of Curtains tomorrow (Sat.) . It is hoped to open Sunday night for the 6.30pm performance. So we’re going ahead almost as scheduled, at least as of now. The performance for Monday (March 5) has been sold out. We have secured props and although there have been some disruption to rehearsals, we’re going ahead as best we can with the performances,” added Ms. O’Kelly.
She said the NMS has made a considerable investment in the production and encouraged families to avail of the specially timed show on Sunday at 6.30,” adding “I imagine most of us will be fed up with snowballs by then.”
Billed as a murder, mystery, whodunnit, comedy musical, it runs at the Moat Theatre (phone 883030), Naas, over March 4-9, all at 8.30pm - with the exception of the aforementioned Sunday show.
