Call for pedestrian crossing in Sallins

Salllins

Kildare County Council is to carry out an assessment near the scene of a fatal road accident.

A call has been made by Naas councillor Sorcha O’Neill for a pedestrian crossing with lights near Castlefen, Sallins, close to the scene of the accident involving teenager Dane Loakman.

Cllr O’Neill says the council intend to relocate a bus stop to a nearby inlet as well as committing to a “needs assessment” at the location, which will include a pedestrian and traffic count.
