Kildare secondary school forced to close today for 'safety risk assessment'
Decision was made late last night

Scoil Dara, Kilcock
A secondary school in the county was forced to close today following a board of management meeting late last night.
Scoil Dara in Kilcock announced the closure for students on their website, “pending a safety risk assessment”.
A statement released by the Board of Management said:
"Following a meeting of the Board of Management of Scoil Dara late this evening, It has been decided to close the school to students tomorrow Tuesday December 5th pending a safety risk assessment. Sincere apologies for the late notice and inconvenience."
A source told the Leader that the closure is due to “some sort of graffiti on a wall in the school toilets". But they had no idea what it was about.
The source said it is under investigation.
Efforts to contact the school were unsuccessful this morning.
