Santa sure is getting fond of Naas.
For the second time in a week he’s taken time out from the herculean task of readying himself for annual visit to the children of the world on Christmas Eve, to visit the town.
A week ago today he was shepherded in to the town aboard a fire engine and with a Civil Defence/Garda escort to hand out presents from his grotto at Naas Town Hall.
He’ll be spending this afternoon in Naas GAA Centre where many children are expected to visit - as they have done for many years now.
His visit was originally called off because some of his helpers were (ahem) a little slow to come on board as the deadline for his annual visit inched closer. But since then they’ve been as busy as little elves can be and there's been a serious run on selection boxes in preparation for the arrival of the kids.
And so the GAA Christmas party goes ahead from about 2pm today.
