Pat Heerey – Celbridge, Kildare / Cootehill, Cavan

November 19 2017, peacefully, in the loving care of his family at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, also St. James Hospital. Predeceased by his brother Fr. Charles, Diocese of Kilmore. Beloved husband of Carmel and loving father of Leona Foster (London), Adrienne Nash (Galway), Nicola Brady (Celbridge). Sadly missed by his brothers Jack (Rathfarnham), Barney (Maudabawn), sons-in-law Sean, Pat and Paul, his adored grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home in Abbeyfarm, Celbridge, this Monday from 3 o'clock to 8 o'clock. Removal on Tuesday morning to St. Patrick's Church, Celbridge, for 11 o'clock funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maudabawn, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, arriving at approximately at 3 o'clock. House private at all other times please.

Tony Sloan – Langton Park & Ryans Field, Newbridge, Kildare

November 17 2017 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Naas Hospital. Sadly missed by his wife Madeline, children Trina, Henry, Tony Jnr. and Olive, his beloved grandchildren Mark, Stephen, Eoin, Aoife and Conor, son-in-law Paul, daughters-in-law Theresa & J.P., sister Betty, niece Rita and nephew Michael, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Removal on Monday morning at 10.30 o'clock to arrive at St. Conleth's Parish Church, Newbridge for Mass at 11 o'clock. Burial afterwards in St. Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Friends of Naas Hospital. Donations box in the Church.


Martin (Gus) Conlon – Cuanbhríde, Rathdowney, Laois / Drumnacool, Sligo / Kildare Town, Kildare

 November 15 2017. Unexpectedly, Martin (Gus), deeply regretted by his family, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in The Church of the Holy Trinity Rathdowney followed by cremation at Newlands Crematorium.


George Herterich – Clonard, Wexford and late of Naas

November 18, 2017, George, (Retired Butcher) - (in the loving care of Mary & Nicola Doran and staff of Knockeen Nursing Home, beloved husband of Bernadette (Nee McIntyre) and of the late Dorothy (Dor) - (Nee Miley), loving father of Susan, Charles and David, brother of Noel and Maudie and the late Mildred and Mabel; sadly missed by his family, grandchildren Colin, Craig, James, Dorothy, Laura and David, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, aunt Alice, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. R. I. P. Reposing in the Nursing Home on Monday from 3pm until 9pm. Funeral prayers on Tuesday at 11am followed by removal to Church of the Assumption, Bride Street, Wexford for Funeral Mass at 12noon. Burial afterwards in St. Ibar’s Cemetery Crosstown. House Private.

Fr. Ronan Drury – St. Patrick's College, Maynooth, Kildare / Mullagh, Cavan / Dublin

Professor Emeritus of Homiletics at St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth and Editor of the Furrow Magazine, November 16 2017, peacefully at the Mater Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. Sadly missed by his family, staff and students of St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth, past and present, the Bishop and priests of the Diocese of Meath, and his wide circle of friends.

Requiem Mass in the College Chapel on Monday at 11.00 a.m., followed by removal to St. Killian’s Church, Mullagh, Co. Cavan arriving at 2.30 p.m. for prayers of commendation, with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
