Charity tug-of-war in Naas

Sylvia O'Mahony, Alice Fennelly, Ellen Dowling and Hillary Cahill

Fed up with your old brassiere? Well here’s your chance to get it off your chest and support something different — a very worthy cause.

Naas Lions Club in conjunction with Naas GAA and Rugby Clubs will be holding a BRA TUG OF WAR on Saturday 29th of October at 2pm in Poplar Square.

October is breast cancer awareness month and local ladies are asked to donate their old bras to either Conways Top Drawer or Catriona’s, Naas’s two lingerie stores.

The collected garments will be used in a massive Tug-of-War between the GAA and Rugby Clubs in Poplar Square to symbolise women’s ongoing battle against breast cancer.

Funds generated by The Paint it Pink Campaign go to fund vital research into new treatments for breast cancer and also to support practical services for women affected by the disease.
