Recent deaths in Co Kildare

The following deaths have taken place recently in Co Kildare

Gerard Askins, Harbour Court, Courtown, Gorey, Wexford / Kilcullen, Kildare

And late of Kilcullen, Co. Kildare. Gerard, beloved Partner of Geraldine and loving Father of David and Rosemary. Deeply regretted by his Partner, Son, Daughter, brother Patrick, sisters Helen, Mary and Cath, daughter-in-law Karen, brothers-in-law, Adam, extended family relatives and friends.

Gerard will be reposing at his home tomorrow Friday, September 23 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. and removal will take place on Saturday after prayers at 12.30 pm to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Riverchapel for Funeral Mass at 1 pm followed by Private Cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association.

Vincent (Vinny) Dalton, Foxhill, Athy, Kildare

Reposing at his residence from 7pm tomorrow, Friday, with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Michael's New Cemetery, Athy.

Enoch O'Neill, St Dominic's Park, Newbridge, Kildare / Kilcullen, Kildare

The death has occurred of Enoch O'Neill, formerly of Milemill, Kilcullen. Peacefully at Naas hospital surrounded by his loving family. Husband of the late Mary, he will be sadly missed by his loving sons and daughters, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his family home from 3pm today, Thursday, with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St. Conleth's Parish Church, Newbridge for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the "Friends Of Naas Hospital Donations box in Church.

P.J.(Patrick) Bird, Avondale Drive, Kilcullen and Curragh Camp, Kildare

The death has occurred of PJ (Patrick) Bird, formerly of The Curragh Camp and late of Avondale Drive, Kilcullen.

He was a retired army Cpl., Transport, The Clarke Barracks, missed by his daughters Anne, Patricia, Sandra and Marie, son Patrick, grandchildren Lindsey, Kerrie, Shane and Solene, great-granddaughter Mya, brother, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his family home from 6pm from Wednesday until conclusion of prayers at 8pm. Removal today, Thursday morning, at St. Brigid's Church, The Curragh Camp for Requiem Mass at 10am.

Burial afterwards in St. Brigid's Cemetery, Kilcullen.

William (Willie) Doran, Ballymore Eustace, Kildare

The death has occured of William (Willie) Oliver Plunkett Road, Ballymore Eustace, Co. Kildare and late of Blackrock, Co. Dublin. Retired member of an Garda Síochána. September 19 2016. Brother of Tom and the late Judy Carthy. Will be sadly missed by his nephews Paddy, Mark and Chris, nieces Mary, Celene, Hilda and Janet, brother-in-law Paddy, grandnieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Clarkes Funeral Home, Lower Main Street, Blessington this afternoon (Thursday) from 4.0’c with removal Thursday evening to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymore Eustace arriving for 8.0’c. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11.0c followed by burial in Burgage Cemetery, Blessington.

Annie (Nan) Malone (née Gorman) Claremount, Carbury, Kildare

In her 96th Year. Peacefully at Mullingar Regional Hospital. Predeceased by her husband William (Bill), daughter Mary, great-grandson Sean, daughter-in-law Helen. Deeply regretted by her sons Tony, Michael, Pascal, Enda & David, daughters Dolores & Ita, brothers, sister, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, her 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Larkin's Funeral Home, Edenderry from 7.30pm yesterday evening with Rosary at 9pm. Reposing from today, Thursday at 4pm with removal to St Brigid's Church, Clogherinkoe at 6.45pm arriving 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon followed by burial in Derrinturn Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Carbury Carers and Wisdom Club Clogherinkoe National School.

John (Jack) Hennessy Roseville, Naas, Kildare / Killarney, Kerry / Goatstown, Dublin / Ardee, Louth

Hennessy John (Jack), Roseville, Naas, Co. Kildare and formerly Killarney, Goatstown, Dublin and Ardee, Co. Louth. 20th September 2016. Peacefully at Tallaght Hospital. Husband of the late Pilar. Deeply regretted by his loving daughters Pilar, Fiona and Sinead, grandchildren, brother, sister, sons-in-law, dear companion, relatives and friends. 

Reposing at his home yesterday Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm. Removal this evening (Thursday) to arrive at the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas for 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Corban’s Cemetery, Naas.

Dermot Murphy Kilkea, Castledermot, Kildare

Reposing at Dunnes Funeral Home, Mill Road, Castledermot from 2pm until 10pm today, Tuesday, with Rosary at 8pm. Removal from there yesterday, to The Church of The Assumption, Castledermot for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by interment in Nicholastown Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Friends of St. Vincent's Hospital, Athy. Donation Box in Church. 

Cormac Byrne Leixlip, Kildare / Bluebell, Dublin

Cormac Byrne (Leixlip, Co. Kildare, formerly of Bluebell, Dublin and late of Designer Electrical) September 16th. 2016 (suddenly) beloved husband of Cora and dear father of Kevin, Paul, Joseph and Lorraine and a devoted grandfather to Isabella, Clodagh, Niamh, Oisín and Rían. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Irene, brothers Liam, Damian, Francis, Brendan, Padraig and Brain, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence on Tuesday evening. Removal to the Church of St. Charles Borromeo, Confey yesterday morning arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Confey Cemetery. Family flowers only, Please. Donations, if desired, to Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.

Kathleen Dutton (née Hughes) Assumpta Villas, Kildare Town, Kildare

At the General Hospital, Naas. Sadly missed by her loving husband Aubrey, her sister Margaret ( Dette ), brother Seán, sisters-in-law Muriel and Babs, nephews,relatives and friends. 

Reposing at Mc Wey's Funeral Home, Abbey View, Kildare Town on Tuesday with Rosary. Removal yesterday, Wednesday, at 10.45am to arrive at St. Brigid's Parish Church, Kildare Town for Mass at 11am. Cremation thereafter in Newlands Cross Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Kildare Branch, Alzheimers Society. House private please.

Andrew (Andy) Byrne, Rathfarnham, Dublin / Celbridge, Kildare

Byrne, Andrew (Andy). (Nutgrove Ave., Rathfarnham and late of Old Town Mill, Celbridge and Ex Irish Defence Forces) Sept. 18th 2016, (very peacefully) at St. Vincent's Private Hospital. Sadly missed by his loving children Jennifer, Rosaleen and Grace and their mother Tara, partner Sue, parents James and Rose, sisters Sharon and Caroline, brother James, brother in law Michael, James's partner Sinead, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and a large circle of friends.
