A Garda National Property Recovered Day will take place on Thursday 22 September 2016 with Kildare items on view at Leixlip Garda Station.
According to a garda statement the day is an effort to reunite property recovered by An Garda Síochána with owners and to provide support to victims of crime.
While most property recovered by An Garda Síochána is immediately returned to its owners, particularly in the recovery of property stolen in the course of theft and burglaries, there are cases where gardai are unable to identify the owner and the property remains in Garda custody.
The public will also be able to view all images from each Division online via the Garda website www.garda.ie from September 22 2016 and thereafter.
Sergeant George Doherty, Crime Prevention Officer for Kildare will also be available to assist members of the public in Kildare.
