Temporary road closure announced for busy Kildare bridge
The closure is being implemented in order to facilitate road resurfacing works
A temporary road closure has been announced for a busy County Kildare bridge.
Kildare County Council (KCC) explained: “A road closure will be in place on the L-7036 at Morristown Bridge [in Newbridge] on Thursday, August 6 and Friday, August 7 [2026] to facilitate road resurfacing works.
“A diversion will be in place.”
KCC added that it ‘regrets any inconvenience caused during this time’.
