A young boy sadly passed away surrounded by his family at Galway hospice and is remembered as a boy who was always smiling and brought happiness everywhere he went

RIP Conor Keane

Tributes have poured in for a young boy from Galway who sadly died recently surrounded by his loving family.

Conor Keane was from Doorus, Kinvara in Galway and died on July 24th 2025, peacefully at Galway Hospice.

Conor is remembered as a boy who was always smiling and brought so much joy and happiness everywhere he went.

He will be deeply missed by his parents Aisling and Ronan, His brother Odhrán, sisters Néamh and Méabh and all his extended family, friends and neighbours.

Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and dearly loved Conor, with one mourner writing,

"I am so sorry to hear of Conor's passing. His life in this world was short but as a family you ensured that he got the very best!! A truly amazing family. I will always think of Conor with his beaming smile and contagious laugh which made everyone feel good. It was a pure pleasure to cross paths with him in Doorus N.S. Thinking of you all".

Another message said, "I am so sorry for your huge loss, the loss of such a happy, funny and loveable boy. I am so lucky to have had the privilege to have spent so many fun times with Conor. He was a person who no matter what, he had the ability to make you smile and laugh and he brought out the best in the people around him. Thinking of you all. Conor you will be missed greatly".

"To the Keane family, deepest condolences on the loss of your son and brother, Conor. It was a pleasure to have met such a joyful and wonderful soul. You are a truly special family, and the love and care you all gave him throughout his life is a reflection of that. May the memory of his presence bring you strength and comfort during this difficult time. Sending all our love and prayers to you from the entire Quigley family," another person said.

"Dear Aisling, Ronan & family, I’m so incredibly sorry for the loss of your lovely Conor. It was an honour and privilege to have known and cared for him, he was always full of laughter and brought so much joy wherever he went. We have so many special memories of him and the fun times with all his friends in Crannog. He’ll be missed more than words can say. Thinking of you all and sending love during this heart breaking time," another tribute read.
