WATCH: Gardaí chase van driving in wrong direction on motorway
Gardaí chased a van travelling in the wrong direction on the M8 outside Fermoy late on Wednesday night.
The driver managed to travel over 20 miles in the wrong direction and failed to stop for gardaí.

Gardai are currently attempting to stop a van travelling in the wrong direction on the Dublin to Cork motorway outside Fermoy.
The van has so far travelled in excess of 20 miles and is failing to stop. @GardaTraffic pic.twitter.com/LIgL1N0FAV
The van eventually came to a stop at the Toll Plaza Watergrass Hill.

People have reacted online to the clip of the gardaí chasing the van, with one person saying: "Another driver that shouldn't be on the road."
Someone else simply stated: "Absolutely shocking."
