BREAKING: Man killed in second fatal crash following multi-vehicle collision
Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision near Blakes Cross in North Dublin where a man has been pronounced dead.
The collision involved three vehicles and occurred shortly before 10am on Friday morning on the R129 at Thomandstown.
The deceased man, aged in his 60s, was the driver of one of the vehicles involved.
Gardaí said the female occupant of another vehicle was taken to hospital with what are understood to be non-life threatening injuries.

Diversions are in place as the R129 is currently closed at Blakes Cross to facilitate a technical examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the vicinity of Blakes Cross and Thomondstown on Friday morning between 9.30am and 10.00am are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.

This follows another fatal accident which occurred in Rathoe, County Carlow during the early hours of Friday morning. Two men aged in their 20s were sadly killed and two more, a man and woman also in their 20s, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
