Gardaí launch probe as woman on e-scooter 'found with serious injuries' on road

A woman riding an e-scooter has been found on a road in Co Louth with serious injuries as gardaí mount an investigation.

Gardaí say are appealing for witnesses to "a road incident" which occurred on Tom Bellew Avenue in Dundalk, Co Louth on Friday, October 25.

A woman in hers 20s who was travelling on an e-scooter was discovered with serious injuries on the road, gardaí said.

"The incident is believed to have occurred at around 9.30pm.

"The woman was removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda to be treated for injuries believed to be serious.

"The scene currently remains preserved for examination," they added.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users or pedestrians who were in the area between 9.15pm and 9.45pm and may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make it available.
