An Irish animal rescue is asking supporters to donate to their fundraiser to help with operations costs.
My Lovely Horse Rescue (MLHR) - who say they are "inundated" - created the fundraiser in the hopes of raising €200,000 to continue rescuing animals in need, and for the constant upgrades and maintenance required on their farm.
Just over a quarter (€53,046) of the funding goal has been raised so far.
Launching the campaign, MLHR stated, "Thousands of animals need to be saved, we are doing our best, because of the incredible support and generosity we have received from the public over the last 12 years, so many animals have been rescued because of you.
"Unfortunately we know there are thousands more who will join the MLHR family in the future that are crying out for help. We are struggling. We are inundated. We need your help.
"The MLHR farm is a safe haven to so many. Where they can heal and learn to trust. The farm needs constant upgrades and maintenance, so we are trying to raise €200,000 euro to ensure we can keep rescuing those in need.
"We need more shelters, more fencing, more everything, to ensure every animal that will join the MLHR family will have the best chance at a life worth living. Please donate what you can. Even the smallest amount will make a huge difference."
In a post published on Facebook, MLHR stated: "Help us reach our €200,000 goal, we are seriously struggling this year with so many poor animals in need."
