Woman's ex 'won't let her shop alone and tells her what to wear' Kildare court told

The woman claimed she had called the gardaí three times
A woman told Naas District that her ex-partner will not let her go shopping on her own.
The woman further alleged that “he tells me what to wear.”
The woman sought count protection under family law legislation and said that she had called the gardaí three times.
She also claimed that the man, who was not present or represented, was “very violent and beat me.” She alleged he tried to strangle her.
Judge Desmond Zaidan said he would accede to the granting of an interim protection order order “reluctantly” because the allegations of assault did not form part of the statement made by the woman before she came to court.
