‘The man broke in, took the money, left and returned to break the windows’
A man stole €120 from his partner and picked up a rock and smashed two windows in her home, it was alleged at Naas District Court.
The man appeared by videolink for the hearing because he was in custody at the time.

Sgt Meade also said it is hoped that the case would be with the Director of Public Prosecution as “in the next three weeks.”
The court also heard that the man's partner wishes to withdraw her claims.
Defending solicitor Chloe Donegan said the man’s phone, which is in the possession of the gardaí, has data "which will support his contention that he is innocent” and she asked for the case to be struck out. The court also heard that the woman had made eight missed calls to the man's legal representative but it is a matter for the gardai to deal with her approach to the case.
Addressing the defendant, who was refused bail in the high court, Judge Desmond Zaidan said if any information found on the phone but gardaí it will be disclosed irrespective of who it assists and he said the DPP is fully independent.
The judge declined to strike the case out and said he would allow the investigation to continue. He said the court is aware the woman wants to withdraw the case. He declined to strike it out and adjourned the matter.
