Pictures of the woman’s alleged injures were brought to Naas District Court by a barrister

A woman was “beaten black and blue” it was alleged at Naas District Court.

The claim was made by barrister Suzanne Walsh on behalf of her client.

The client and her partner were both present for a hearing and were also each represented legally.

Ms Walsh told Judge Tom McSharry that her client had to leave home because she was beaten and the barrister brought pictures of the woman’s alleged injuries to court.

There was a dispute about how the man could collect the children from the woman as part of child access arrangements.

The court heard that a barring order relating to the case had expired and so the woman was reluctant to let her partner collect the children at the house and a suggestion was made to the effect that the children might be handed over to an alternative location.

The man's barrister said he was willing to allow a family member to collect and drop off the children.

The matter was adjourned.
