'I feel I'm hopeless and worthless,' man tells Kildare court
The man claimed that his wife belittles him in public and in private
He said this has damaged his confidence and he sought the protection of the court.
He also said she had secured a protection order against him.
He also said that a friend at work had made a joke highlighting something his wife had said against him.
The man also claimed that he criticises him because he earns less than her.
“I feel I’m hopeless and worthless,” he said.
It was further claimed by the man that he is concerned about the emotional well being of his child and he fears she will try to prevent him seeing the child.
He said he was concerned about the impact of her behaviour on the child’s well being and self esteem. The woman was not present or represented.
Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection order and initially adjourned the matter.
