Amazon drivers' habits in Kildare area could 'wipe out' a child

The habits of some Amazon delivery drivers working in Kildare have been criticised.

Cllr Fintan Brett has asked Kildare County Council to write to the company “reminding them of the duty of care their drivers must exercise in housing estates in this (area).”

He told a Naas Municipal District committee meeting that he had received four calls about the driver in ten days and this “tells a lot.”

He also said that the company has some very good drivers.

He said the poor diving practices include reversing in situations where “if a child comes out they’ll be instantly wiped.”
