A Kildare man charged with murder has appeared in court again.
Padraig Delaney, 43, whose address was given as 6 The Lane, Eustace Demesne, Naas, faces an allegation of the murder of 37 year old Shane Knott between April 3-14, at that address.
He appeared via video link at Naas District court today.
Solicitor Tim Kennelly told the court that he has secured the services of a pathologist, Professor Jack Crane, to review images from the post mortem examination of the deceased and prepare “an independent report.”
Mr Kennelly said today it’s likely it won’t be not be necessary to have an “in person examination” of the deceased.
Mr Kennelly also said a forensics expert arrived from the UK last night and will examine the crime scene.
He also said that a bail application will be made in the High Court next week
Judge Desmond Zaidan remanded the defendant in custody to appear again by video link May 2 . He said if the defendant secures bail in the meantime he must appear in court on that date.
