Craddock House Nursing Home, Kildare, in conjunction with the Moat writers, were delighted to recently launch their book entitled, Home From Home. This publication is an anthology of poems and short stories from the nursing home residents curated by Helen O Leary, Tricia Dunne and John Geoghan.

The book was launched by Mayor of Naas, Seamie Moore and blessed at the launch on May 10 by Fr. Liam. Also in attendance on the day were Councillor Bill Clear, and Mayor of Kildare Carmel Kelly.

"Sincere thanks to Naas racecourse who kindly funded the project. The book is available in the Moat Theatre and the Parish office at €10. All proceeds going to the Naas Care of the Aged,” said the nursing home."There was a great attendance. We were also honoured to welcome the families of three participants, who sadly passed away recently and whose contributions are included in the book. A minute’s silence was held in their memory."

Beautiful food was provided by Ari in the kitchen, and a special shout-out goes to Helen and John and Patricia for their huge help and dedication over the last while in bringing the book together. This book is a treasure and a lasting memory for all 12 participants who took part in creating it.”

The Moat Writers said; “A beautiful project facilitated by John Geoghegan , Tricia Dunne and Helen O'Leary from our group.
