Accident in Monasterevin
UPDATED 10.15pm: Man in his 40s killed after being hit by 4x4 in Monasterevin, Co Kildare, road accident
Emergency services and the gardai are at the scene of an incident on the Dublin Road in Monasterevin after a serious collision where a pedestrian was struck by a car shortly before 7pm this evening.
The Dublin Road (R445) is closed both directions between Fitzpatrick's garage at New Lodge and the Drogheda Street junction at the Nag's Head Pub. Traffic coming from the Athy Road is also being diverted.
The condition of those involved in the incident is not yet confirmed.
