Pupils from Allenwood NS learn about healthy eating

A group of pupils from the primary school in Allenwood paid a visit recently to the local Fruits & Shoots store, which is run by Michael and Elaine Garrity.

In all, 22 children visited the new store to learn about fruit and vegetables and the importance of including these among the food items they eat as part of their daily diet.

They came from the Junior Infants class and it was also the first time the pupils had crossed the main road. The pupils also learned the rules of the road.
