Car gutted and van damaged in Naas car park fire

The car which was burned out in a Naas car park in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Gardai are investigating the cause of a fire in Naas in the early hours of Wednesday morning, May 28, which left one car burnt out and a van badly damaged.

Gardai are investigating the cause of a fire in Naas in the early hours of Wednesday morning, May 28, which left one car burnt out and a van badly damaged.

The fire brigade was called to the private car park behind the Moat Mall in the town centre after the fire broke out at around 1.20am.

The blaze started in a car, which was totally burned out. It spread to a van parked close by, which sustained significant damage.

The vehicles were parked in a private car park used by business in the Moat Mall and nearby residents. It is believed that one of the entrances to the car park had been left unlocked.

Gardai in Naas are currently investigating to establish the cause of the fire.
