Kildare teen in with chance of winning 'Dublin Hero' title

Jamie Carroll Comiskey receiving his Garda Youth Award this year

Naas student Jamie Carroll Comiskey is in with a chance of winning the Dublin Hero title in an online vote.

The 18-year-old is a volunteer with the charity Homeless Mobile Run, a voluntary, non-government funded organisation that provide hot dishes, snacks, tea, coffee, toiletries, clothes and sleeping bags to the homeless.

Jamie, a legal studies student in Waterford, is one of five people nominated for the award.

The competition is based on a voting basis through Facebook. To vote for Jamie, click HERE.

Voting closes at midnight on Sunday, May 12. The winner will be announced at our exclusive awards ceremony on Thursday, May 23 at the Guinness Storehouse.

Jamie was also the recipient of a Garda Youth Award earlier this year, which celebrates outstanding young people between the ages of 13 and 21 years, who are doing great work in their community.
