Saint Kevin's GAA Club have made paid tribute to Fr Pat Pat Ramsbottom, who passed away last week.

"It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of one of our club patrons Fr Pat Ramsbottom,” the club said.

"Fr Ramsbottom came to the parish as parish priest in 1993 and after his retirement he continued to reside in the parish.

"He always showed a keen interest in the club.

“He has baptised, confirmed and married many of our members.

“He has helped so many - more than maybe he even realised. He was a saint among men. Heaven has truly welcomed a special one. Sólás geal na bhFlaithis ar a anam.”

The former Parish Priest of Cooleragh and Staplestown and former curate of Naas passed away on September 8 in the loving care of the staff of Craddock House Nursing Home, Naas, deeply regretted by his loving brothers Sean, Billy & Noel, sister in law Breid, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, Bishop Denis Nulty, priests of Kildare and Leighlin Diocese, class mates, relatives, parishioners, and many many friends. RIP.
