'Take urgent action': Kildare Fire Service issues important warning over these defective products
If an affected appliances catches fire, it may cause injury or even death and / or damage to property
Kildare Fire Service (KFS) has issued an important warning in relation to a number of defective appliances.
According to KFS, a fire risk affecting certain Hoover, Candy, and Haier built-in heat pump tumble dryers has been identified.
If an affected appliances catches fire, it may cause injury or death and / or damage to property.
KFS also revealed that incidents have occurred in relation to these defective products, which have resulted in damage to property.
WHAT TO DO
If a member of the public has a encountered an affected appliance, they are urged to enter the 16-digit serial number, found inside the dryer door, at www.productsafety.haier.ie.
In addition:
- STOP using it immediately
- Unplug it
- Complete the online form to arrange a replacement or free, in-home modification to rectify the issue
