Well-known Kildare shop reopens... with a twist!
The shop sells daily essentials
A well-known shop in County Kildare has reopened under new management.
The Newbridge newsagent formerly known as The Nook, which is located on the Station Road directly across from Newbridge Medical Centre (Centric Health), closed a few years ago.
However, over the past few months, the area was cordoned off while renovations took place.
And now, the fruits of labour are clear to see!
Rebranding under the name Nearby (but still including 'The Nook' as a subtitle), the shop took to social media to announce its opening.
According to the management, much like The Nook before it, Nearby will sell everything from hot drinks to Lottery tickets and daily essentials.
"We can’t wait to see you!" They added.
Nearby's announcement has been welcomed by social media users, with one person commenting: "It’s great to see it opened again.
"[I have] so many child hood memories going across the road to the Nook for corned beef, the paper 'The Mirror' and a mix up."
In addition, another user said about the management: "There [sic] a lovely couple that everyone needs to support."
