Kildare County Council (KCC) has assured a local councillor that it will arrange for a speed survey to take place on one North Kildare road.
Social Democrats Cllr Paula Mulroe requested the survey for the L1003 at Kilmore, Johnstownbridge, at the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District (MD) meeting, which took place on Friday, April 10 last.
Cllr Mulroe appeared at this meeting by virtual means and her motion was seconded by Fine Gael Cllr Tim Durkan.

Speaking further on the motion, Cllr Mulroe noted that the road is located near both the M4 and the Kildare-Meath border.
In addition, the Mayor of the MD, Fine Gael Cllr Brendan Wyse, pointed out that there is a KCC yard situated near the road.
In response to Cllr Mulroe's motion, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: "The MD office will arrange for a speed survey to be carried out on the L1003 at Kilmore in the coming weeks."
