One County Kildare resident was left in shock as they returned home and discovered that a gold engagement ring was stolen from their property.
The crime was highlighted by Garda David Prendergast during a recent guest appearance on KFM.

He told host Hannah Kelly that the incident occurred at a home located in the Ashgrove region of Naas.
Gda Prendergast explained that on March 27 last, the home's occupant left the property at around 9.55am.
Upon returning home at around 11.55am that same day, they discovered that a burglar had entered their property and stolen a number of items, including the expensive ring.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this incident, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí attended the scene of a burglary at a residential estate in Naas, County Kildare shortly after 9.55am on Friday, March 27 last.
"A number of items were reported taken."
They added: "Investigations are ongoing."
