An automated external defibrillator (AED) in one County Kildare area is now back in service.
The announcement was made by Newbridge Community First Responders.
The group explained: "We’re happy to let the community know that the AED located at Ryan’s Field is now back in service and ready for use.

"Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding while the AED was temporarily out of service.
"Having a working AED available in the community is vital in the event of a cardiac emergency, and we appreciate your support while we ensured it was fully operational again."
The group added: "As always, if you ever need to use it in an emergency, call 999 or 112 and the operator will guide you."

Furthermore, it should be noted that in the event of an emergency, nearby active defibrillator units can easily be found by searching 'AED near me' on Google Maps.
