New car wash could be on the way to this Kildare shopping centre
Planning permission documents currently lodged with Kildare County Council (KCC) show that cleaning company Halycyon Lux intends to construct the facility at Celbridge Shopping Centre.
According to the description contained within the application, Halcyon Lux wants to construct "a stand-alone, single-storey, detached automatic car wash" which would be located in the car park of Celbridge Shopping Centre.

In addition, the applicant is seeking permission from KCC for all associated site works.
The date received on the application is listed as March 5 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as April 8, 2026 and April 29, 2026 respectively.
The business information website SoloCheck.ie shows that Halcyon Lux, also known as Halcyon Lux Limited, was established back in November of 2018.
It is listed as a small company which specialises in the "general cleaning of buildings".
Halycon Lux has a registered address listed as Unit 1, Racecourse Road, Roscommon Town, County Roscommon (F42 ET67).
