Clane rugby club is working hard with local builders and architects to develop its ground at Ballinagappa road.
Spokesperson, Stephen Boyling, said they are looking at design and costs in conjunction with pitchcare.ie
It has been a good start to the year for Clane rugby club.
Despite a recent hiccup for the first team in the Leinster League, things have been going well for them.
The first side was leading Division 3 up to Sunday week.
But a defeat to Arklow at home by 14-7 let the Wicklow team in to the leadership position.
They have three games left, home and away to Ardee and away to Arklow, and are in joint second place.
The other main event for the club was the recent sponsorship deal which saw a number of businesses coming together to sponsor jerseys.
The companies, Ash Technology, the Village Inn, Noel Casey Electrical, Abrakababra, Maynooth, and Medialtribe, will supply jerseys for all of the club teams .
The club is working with Elvery's, who have branded the gear naming the sponsors.
The other big event for them was the recent Table Quiz at Manzor's.
Around 140 people took part in the event in a packed pub.
Club secretary, Ciaran Kelly, was an impressive master of ceremonies.
Before the difficult questions began, a special presentation was made to Mayor of Clane, Dessie Marron, to mark his welcome to the club’s French twin club, Nevers.
