Interim measures will be implemented on one County Kildare road in order to address potholes affecting it.

Kildare County Council (KCC) made the assurances at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District, which took place on Wednesday, February 18 last.

The matter was initially raised by Fianna Fáil Cllr Brian O'Loughlin, who motioned for KCC to resurface Glebe Lane, ("also locally known as Kenny’s Lane") in Rathangan.

His motion was seconded by Fine Gael Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer.

RESPONSE

Replying to his motion, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: "The Municipal District Office does not currently have funding to resurface Glebe Lane."

However, KCC asserted that maintenance works "will be carried out to address existing potholes in the interim".
