Kildare County Council (KCC) has provided an update relating to upgrades for the swimming pool at Maynooth University.
The update was sought by Labour Party councillor Angela Feeney at the latest Clane-Maynooth Municipal District meeting, which took place on Friday, February 6 last.
Specifically, she asked KCC the following question: "Can KCC provide an update on discussions they have had with Maynooth University and other stakeholders on the upgrade of the University's swimming pool?"
In response to Cllr Feeney's motion, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: "Negotiations between KCC and Maynooth University are progressing well as both agencies work towards the delivery of the redevelopment of a swimming pool."
Cllr Feeney told KCC that she accepted the update.
