An access group has called out instances of "dangerous" parking in one County Kildare town.
Taking to social media to speak about against the issue, Newbridge Disability Access Group shared photographs showing instances of illegal parking.
The post was accompanied with the following caption: "This is not parking, this is dangerous."
It went on to claim that residents on Station Road "are dealing with illegal parking daily".

The group further said: "Blocking a footpath strips people of their independence and puts them in real danger. It also seriously damages footpaths which can become a trip hazard.
"A Fixed Charge Penalty Notice (FCPN) can be issued for parking on a footpath.
"If you can’t park legally, don’t park at all."
"Do better; think beyond yourself," the group concluded.

One member of the group, Fine Gael councillor Peggy O'Dwyer, also criticised the presence of illegal parking in the region.
She told the Leinster Leader: "When a footpath is blocked, people lose their independence and are pushed into danger.
"Residents in particular have great difficulty getting out of their properties with sightlines blocked.
"Newbridge Disability Access Group have been highlighting these issues for many years through its National Make Way Day and other opportunities."
Cllr O'Dwyer also revealed: "As for the particular problem on Station Road near K Leisure, I have requested this topic for discussion at our next MD [Municipal District] meeting."
