Woman claims in Kildare court her ex said 'things will be physical' if she tries to deny child access

A woman’s ex-partner is trying to control her, she alleged at Naas District Court.

They both live in the same house though the relationship has broken up, she said.

She claimed he is verbally abusive and calls her names and she said he stated that if she threatened him he would not see their child "things will be physical.”

She claimed he had shouted at her while holding the child.

“He is trying to isolate me from any support I have,” she said.

She alleged he is trying to control her and does not want her talking to any of his family.

She said it is not a safe environment for the child and claimed he threatened to prevent her from travelling abroad. The man was not present or represented.

Judge Miriam Walsh granted an interim protection order.
